Difference Between .COM, .NET, And .ORG Domain Names.
.COM is used for commercial and personal sites.
.NET is usually recommended for companies involved in Internet infrastructure.
.ORG is recommended for Non Profit organizations.
Importance Of Domain Names.
However, there are some similarities in hosting the three domain names:
One can use only letters, numbers, or hyphen (“-”) as characters for the site
The domain name cannot begin or end with a hyphen
Two hyphens cannot be used together
The domain name must have less than 63* characters, not including .COM, .NET and .ORG

Access to PhpAdmin
If you are Cpanel user you will find the link to PhpAdmin in your Cpanel itself otherwise you have to get the way to run SQL Query for Joomla’s Database.
Below is the query which you have to Execute while changing respective words.
UPDATE `jos_users` SET `password` = MD5( ‘new_password’ ) WHERE `jos_users`.`username` = “admin” ;
Please replace ‘new_password’ with the password you would like to have.
Please replace ‘admin’ with your Admin Username.
If you do follow all the instructions you will be able to log In to your Joomla Installation.
PS: This method will work in both Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.0 versions.

How can I change my MySQL database collation?
Usually you will be interested in changing your MySQL collation in order to solve problems with foreign character encodings. The most common case is to change your MySQL collation from latin1 to utf8. This can be done by using phpMyAdmin and following the instructions below:
1. Enter your cPanel and click on the phpMyAdmin icon in the Databases box.
2. Select the database you wish to manage from the drop-down menu on the left
3. Click on the Operations tab in the top menu of your phpMyAdmin
4. At the bottom of the page you will see the collation option. You can now select a collation from the drop down menu and click on the Go button.
Please note that after your change the collation of a database only the new tables will be created with the new collation. All other tables remain with the collation, they were initially created.
